主讲人介绍：Alexander Chow博士是爱丁堡大学神学院副研究员，《世界基督教研究》（Studies in World Christianity）主编。主要研究方向：儒家与基督教的相互影响、中国哲学与宗教、公共神学、东亚处境神学等。主要著作：Chinese Public Theology: Generational Shifts and Confucian Imagination in Chinese Christianity; Theosis, Sino-Christian Theology and the Second Chinese Enlightenment: Heaven and Humanity in Unity (中译本：《成神论与天人合一：汉语基督教神学与中国第二次启蒙》)。

讲座摘要：The number of jobs and financial prospects of graduates in the humanities are well exceeded by those in STEM fields. This lecture will offer a historical discussion as to how we got to this point and make an argument about why the humanities are still essential to being “human”.
